Juniperus scopulorum

  • Upright evergreen juniper 2m to 3m in height, as far as the testing has shown to date
  • Form is variable from broad to narrow conical
  • Colour varies from blue-green to dark green, winter colours can vary as much as the summer shades
  • Small blue cone which give the distinctive ‘juniper’ odor

Landscape Use:

  • Use as an accent plant
  • Good screen and background plant which gives a nice backdrop for perennial beds
  • More hardy, interesting varieties than have been available in the past

Special Conditions:

  • Hot dry and well drained site is preferred for this plant
