After you have some ideas of design and plant choices, it’s an easy step to installation. Plant the areas of most concern first – to block winds, catch snow, or to create privacy. Plant only the areas and the amount that you can easily maintain – try not to overwhelm yourself. Add plants and areas as you feel you can maintain them properly. You do not want to create a landscape that instills guilt – it should bring you pleasure, a sense of accomplishment, and fulfill your goals.
As time passes, your landscape will become lower and lower maintenance – your focus should be sitting in the shade enjoying the green of your yard rather than struggling to keep it growing.
