We do put on various workshops through the summer and fall seasons. We enjoy teaching and sharing our knowledge with those who want to learn more about permaculture, natualizing, sustainable landscapes, and soil management.
We do have several native woody plant identification courses we hold at the nursery. Learn the history, taxonomy, propagation, ecology and landscape use of the native plants.
We will be having a tour of the nursery on the first Wednesday of the month from spring, through November. See how we grow from seed to seedling to transplant sizes. We are happy to show off our efforts and our results. We will post the dates and times on our Events Calendar – pre-registration will be required.
We will be having a woody plant seed workshop in the fall – the focus will be seed collection, cleaning and storage of seed. We will pick seed in the nursery from various species.
Other workshops will be announced in the Events section of the website, but make sure you check often – fall wreath making and winter arrangements with Lorie are always a big hit – and fill quickly.
One of our most popular seminars will be the two month weeding event – learn everything you were afraid to ask about weeds and how to kill them in a humane way. Please note: many weeds will be killed during this event.
