Landscape Use: Saskatoons have a nice upright form and a relatively small footprint, so they make for a nice screening. The bonus of this plant is its outstanding fruit. Birds love the fruit, so make sure you’re out there early to share the pickings. Needs full sun with good air movement (wind). Extremely drought tolerant for Calgary and area gardens. Special Conditions: Saskatoons are very disease susceptible if in shade or in an area of low air movement. Performs best in open, sunny, windy areas. Do not overwater.
