Mulch

We use (and recommend) a fine wood chip mulch. We screen and shred wood chips to make a fine ornamental mulch meant to be resistant to windy conditions common to our area. The main function of mulch is to protect the soil from the wind and sun, retain soil moisture and aid in weed control. 

• Optimum depth should be 75mm to 100mm to allow for moisture retention and insulation for the soil.

• We do not recommend landscape fabric – the soil building process works better if the mulch is in direct contact with the soil.

The best part is, our process uses a waste product that would otherwise end up in the landfill. We perfect it for use in your landscape!
